Mónica Fiestas
Founder and teacher
Use the Spanish you already know to understand more, express yourself fluently and enjoy the culture
My name is Mónica. I am a Spanish teacher and, although I now live in Paraguay, I am from Madrid (Spain).
The idea of becoming a Spanish teacher came to me when I spent a month in Malta and got to know lots of people from other countries.
Now that I live in Paraguay I notice culture shocks you may never have thought about.
That is exactly why I created this space so focused on culture: so that you can live that experience too, but in Spanish.

Why dogs on the website?
Dogs have been my passion since I was little.
Dogs have been my passion since I was little, and in a way they are part of who I am.
I also volunteered for nine years at an animal shelter.
All that time there means I understand them very well. That’s why I say I speak C2 dog.
So when I created this academy I wanted them here, because both dogs and helping people improve their Spanish are part of me.
